Set up Olink in your lab

An increasing number of labs around the world are setting up PEA technology in their own facilities, either to run their own studies in-house or as trained Olink sample analysis service providers. Many core labs have seen the value in adding Olink’s protein biomarker platform to their multiomic technology offerings as more customers look to add high-quality proteomics to their research strategies.

Olink has developed a training package to ensure the highest possible quality of data output for customers and partners running Olink analysis. From instrument set up to running your first analysis, the Olink Field Application Scientist team will help you set up the entire Olink workflow in your lab so that you can easily run your own proteomics analyses.

Hardware requirements

Our platforms use qPCR or NGS as readout methods, so your lab may already have some necessary instruments. Olink assays produce DNA amplicons, quantified by qPCR (using Olink Signature Q100 or Fluidigm BioMark™) or by NGS (using Illumina® NovaSeq™ 6000 or NextSeq™).

Olink Target products use qPCR, which requires common lab equipment like pipettes, a centrifuge, and a plate vortex. DNA amplification is performed using PCR machines, and products are quantified with qPCR machines.

Olink Explore products, optimized for semi-automated systems, reduce hands-on time and sample volume needed. This is achieved using SPT Labtech Dragonfly and Mosquito pipetting systems, which are suitable for low-volume samples and other applications.
