Identify non-invasive biomarkers
Measuring biomarkers that could accelerate drug development may involve invasive sampling (e.g., tissue biopsies) or expensive imaging procedures requiring expert interpretation. This places significant limitations on the practical implementation of such biomarkers, generating an unmet need to identify minimally invasive alternative markers that can be measured in blood or other easily attainable sample types. The ability to accurately measure thousands of proteins in minute sample volumes maximizes the probability of finding such biomarkers.
