Transducin-like enhancer protein 6

Uniprot Function Description

Regulates spermatogonia proliferation and cell cycle progression, potentially via regulation of cell cycle regulatory genes such as; CEBPB, CEBPA, CSF3, PCNA, and CDK4 (By similarity). Suppresses FOXG1/BF-1-mediated transcriptional repression by inhibiting interaction of the transcriptional corepressor TLE1 with FOXG1 which promotes cortical neuron differentiation (By similarity). Acts as a transcriptional corepressor of NFATC1-mediated gene expression by contributing to PAX6-mediated repression (By similarity).

As a member of the subcortical maternal complex (SCMC), plays an essential role for zygotes to progress beyond the first embryonic cell divisions via regulation of actin dynamics (PubMed:26537248). Required for the formation of F-actin cytoplasmic lattices in oocytes which in turn are responsible for symmetric division of zygotes via the regulation of mitotic spindle formation and positioning (By similarity).

Sample type

Recommended sample types are human plasma and serum. For other sample types e.g cerebrospinal fluid, (CSF), tissue or cell lysate, please contact support@olink.com for more information. Please note that protein expression levels are expected to vary in different sample types and certain assays may be affected by interfering substances such as hemolysate.

Precision

Precision (repeatability) is calculated from linearized NPX values over LOD.

Dilution factor

For optimal assay readout, Olink assays are run using different dilutions of the original samples e.g. undiluted, 1:10, or higher. The dilution factor for this assay is noted below and should be taken into account when estimating the appropriate addressable biological concentration of the protein based on the in vitro validation data.

1:1
