This session showcases data from the BioFINDER studies, where plasma and cerebrospinal fluid samples were analyzed using Olink technology to quantify thousands of proteins, identifying key proteins linked to Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and cerebral small vessel disease. A subset of the identified plasma-detected proteins even outperformed current clinical risk scores in predicting future cerebrovascular events, offering a promising roadmap for future diagnostic and therapeutic advancements.
